Supervision

Are you going to write your masters thesis at the University of Jyväskylä? I might be able to help! I am interested in (co-)supervising thesis in the following areas:

• Natural language processing & computational linguistics
• Educational technology applications involving automatic text or multimedia analysis or production
• Human-oriented computer vision applications, such as those involving facial and pose recognition
• Projects answering research questions in the humanities using computers (digital humanities)
• Potentially other topics in artificial intelligence or even computer science in general, but in this case I might not be able to offer to same level of guidance. In any case it doesn't hurt to ask!

If you're not sure what you would like to do your thesis project on yet, I am open to open-ended discussions aiming to develop and select ideas.
